With years of experience, I can assure you that our therapeutic relationship will be confidential, compassionate, informative, and connected.

Therapy for children

Therapy is a highly effective practice and intervention that can bring about positive and desired changes in a child's life. For children struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or significant emotional or behavioral issues at home, school, or in the community, therapy can offer a safe space to build confidence, process feelings, and to develop new coping strategies, problem solving skills, and healthy habits and routines. Therapy can decrease daily stressors and help children and families to work through barriers that have negatively impacted learning and connections with others. Therapy can help children to better understand their mental health challenges and to develop successful skills and strategies to support increased emotional and behavioral success and stability. My therapeutic approach incorporates family systems, a modality that engages the family in supporting growth in communication and in relationships.

Therapy for young adults

For young adults who are struggling with the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, hopelessness, the pressures of a job, or the stress of college, therapy can provide valuable tools and techniques for young adults to process and express their emotions, feel understood, develop healthy relationships with others, and experience improved well-being.

Therapy for teens

Teens navigating the complexities of adolescence, face a variety of challenges that can leave them feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, and alone. Whether it's struggling with anxiety, not fitting in with their peer groups, or experiencing feelings of isolation or hopelessness, these daily obstacles detrimentally impact their mental health and overall feeling of well-being and connectedness to others. Through therapy, teens can realize increased self-awareness, gain confidence, and learn new strategies for coping with their emotions. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space for critical identity formation, equipping teens with new tools and skills which will support them developing into confident and resilient young adults.

Mental health assessments

I will conduct an initial mental health assessment with you prior to beginning our therapy sessions.  This evaluation will include historical information gathering, assessment of symptoms, and developing a preliminary diagnosis which will help guide treatment and intervention
