Hello, I’m Susan!

I am a licensed clinical social worker who has served as a children’s services clinical director, a school-based child and family therapist, and a school district mental health specialist. I am also a licensed school educator with an endorsement in social work in the State of Utah.  For 14 years, I worked in Salt Lake County as a school-based therapist serving at-risk and under-resourced youth and families. In the following 14 years, I gained expertise in school mental health and provided school mental health consultation to families, behavioral health agencies, school districts, and county and state human service agencies.  I have extensive experience providing clinical care to youth and families who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, feelings of isolation, and behavioral dysregulation.

I absolutely love connecting with children, teens, and young adults and in supporting them to experience happiness, achieve success, and feel hopefulness for their futures.  In our sessions, we will identify short- and long-term goals, engage in skill building, and develop a roadmap of strategies and interventions that will support enhanced self-awareness, improved well-being, and the development of healthy connections with others. I am looking forward to working with your child, teen, or young adult.

In my free time, I enjoy being active in the outdoors with my kids and my dog.
